Hey, I'm Kelly!
I'm a graphic designer by trade, but I started practicing the art of calligraphy in 2014. Although I've always considered myself an artist and illustrator, calligraphy was one skill I had a huge desire to learn. I consider my lettering style more modern and loose. I love illustration- especially botanicals.
After scouring Google/Pinterest/Etsy in 2016 for a cool painted jacket to wear on my wedding day (and not finding a single one) I decided I was going to start creating jackets for brides who wanted a little bit of a "cool factor" on their wedding day. I never thought this trend would take off the way it has, nor did I ever think I would create a trend- but here we are 4 years later rocking our leathers and looking cool as cucumbers. I love creating custom leather jackets - it blends my love for illustration and design in one badass little package.
I've always been a hopeless romantic. I love love stories, and hearing about how couples met. It was natural for me to step into the wedding industry. I live for fun, adventurous, moody, bohemian, unique weddings. The industry is ever- changing and it's such an exciting community to be apart of.
I'm so lucky to be married to my best friend, Andrew. He's the sweetest man I know and he constantly has me laughing, like crying on the floor, pain in the stomach laughing. I'm really not sure how I don't have a six-pack at this point... I'm actually mad about it. We adopted our Husky/Lab, Nakita 3 years ago, and I couldn't imagine life without either of them. I'm a mama to a silly, spunky, bright-eyed two year old girl, Evalia "Evie" Aspen. She is the light of our lives.
I religiously listen to podcasts while I work. My favorites right now are Earn Your Happy by Lori Harder, For the Love of Money by Chris Harder, Goal Digger Podcast by Jenna Kutcher , The Tim Ferriss Show (by Tim Ferriss), The Skinny Confidential Podcast with Lauren & Michael Bosstick & The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes, Off the Vine by Kaitlyn Bristowe and the Papaya Podcast... phew, that was a long list.
My guilty pleasure is Justin's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. If you haven't had them, or haven't heard of them, OMG you need to drop everything you're doing and run as fast as you can to your nearest Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. They will change your life.
If you've made it to the end of this long-winded post then I can already tell we're going to be friends. Click the "CONTACT" tab above if you'd like to chat!
